Experience the vibrant spirit of the Central Coast and Paso Robles at Back Alley Wine Bar in Prescott on Monday, September 22 at 4pm with a tasting of three distinctive Field Recordings wines by Andrew Jones. Andrew is renowned for his hands-on approach, combining top viticultural practices with organic, biodynamic, and regenerative farming to craft wines of integrity and soul. As a grapevine nurseryman and winemaker, his philosophy is rooted in stewardship of the land, letting the site and fruit speak for themselves with minimal intervention. His impact on the region is immense—he sources exceptional fruit from underappreciated Central Coast and Paso Robles vineyards, highlighting their unique character and helping to define the next generation of California wine.

The Central Coast’s wine history stretches back to the late 1700s, when Spanish missionaries planted early vineyards. Revived after Prohibition, it now includes famous regions like Paso Robles, Chalone, and Santa Cruz Mountains, known for varied soils and climates that excel for a wide range of grape varieties. Paso Robles itself began with Franciscan grape plantings in 1797 and grew with pioneers like Andrew York, expanding into a globally recognized wine destination celebrated for diverse blends and expressive varietals.
